Edgelit signage in glass – Drakes Hotel, Brighton
Edgelit signage, designed, built and installed by Spanlite for Drakes Hotel on Brighton's seafront.
The sign is made from toughened, low-iron glass; lit from the base only, standing 2m high. Light from the LEDS interacts with the ceramic-ink printed logo, illuminating it in any colour. The sign is positioned behind an iconic piece of granite in the forecourt of the hotel. Control is via a wireless remote control from behind the bar in the hotel. This enables colour-changing sequences and timed events to coordinate with sunset or other specific times.
